Hello, changemakers and innovators! October is just around the corner, and I’m excited to share two opportunities for those ready to dive deeper into the intersection of AI, leadership, and identity. If you’ve been following along, you know how critical it is for women and tech-marginalized folks to take the lead in shaping the AI culture shift. Well, this is your chance to step up and be part of that transformation.
These are two events where you can harness AI's potential while developing your leadership style and nurturing your personal growth. Whether you’re looking for a restorative retreat or a hands-on training, October has you covered.
Event 1: AI, Identity, & Leadership Retreat
I’ve always believed that leadership is a journey—not a destination—and this retreat embodies that ethos. Hosted by Full Circle Impact Solutions, One Eleven Leadership, and Inner Being: Yoga for the Soul, this event is designed by women, for women, to help you align your leadership style with your identity and values. And it’s happening in the perfect setting: a Hudson River town in the Hudson Valley of NY. From October 25-27, you’ll be immersed in a restorative environment, diving into professional coaching, AI leadership training, and identity exploration.
What makes this retreat special? It blends bodywork, deep cohort connections, and personal reflection to give you the tools to lead with authenticity. You’ll also engage with AI tools, learning how to use them to not only amplify your leadership but to ensure your technology decisions align with your values. So if you're feeling like you need a reset or a realignment in your work, this is the perfect space to rediscover your strengths and connect with other women navigating similar paths.
Key Highlights:
Professional coaching led by Marissa Lifshen Steinberger
AI leadership workshops with Rachel Kimber
Yoga and bodywork with Karen Faulkner
Restorative time for reflection and connection with like-minded women
Event 2: Fall Forward with AI Training
If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and get tactical, the Fall Forward with AI training is calling your name. Hosted in collaboration with Anne Murphy, The Empowered Fundraiser, and happening October 11-18, this virtual event focuses on practical skills to make AI your leadership ally. Whether you're a fundraiser or a nonprofit leader, this training will equip you with the tools to leverage AI in ways that drive equity and impact.
AI is no longer a tool we can ignore. It’s reshaping the nonprofit landscape, and fundraisers are at the forefront of that change. This training focuses on helping you learn the ropes, from using AI to streamline your operations to ensuring your data aligns with inclusive development practices. And it's all virtual, meaning you can bring these insights right into your workspace, whether that's your kitchen table or a bustling office.
Key Highlights:
A three-day interactive virtual training designed for nonprofit leaders
Hands-on AI tools you can implement immediately
Strategies to ensure your AI usage promotes equity and inclusivity
Why You Need to Be Here
You may remember my mention of the AI Summer Camp, where we saw the transformative power of including women and tech-marginalized folks in AI development. Well, these two events build on that momentum. Just like the women who graduated from our camp, attendees of these October events will walk away not only with tools but with the clarity and confidence to shape the future of AI in their respective fields.
We’re at a pivotal moment—AI is transforming the way we work, lead, and connect. And it’s critical that we, especially women and those traditionally left out of tech spaces, take the reins. AI is more than just a tool; it’s an opportunity to reshape culture, create inclusive systems, and lead with purpose.
I can’t wait to see how each of you will use these experiences to fuel your next leadership step. Let’s move into October with intention, focus, and the knowledge that we’re building something bigger than ourselves—one algorithm, one connection, one leadership decision at a time.
Let’s fall forward together.
